THE OIL SPILL SPIRITUAL RAMIFICATIONS

A lot has been said in the media about the BP oil spill’s consequences, however the spiritual perspective has not been mentioned. As far as I am concerned that is the most important one that is to come out of this disaster.

The loss of all the animals and the influence on the ecosystem, as well as the loss of living for many fisherman, is a very sad loss. I do not want to belittle it in any way. Another important affect it might have is on the world economy, that is based on oil supply and demand. This in turn can affect the status quo in the middle east.  It will affect leadership. The consequences are vast and are on a macro level as well as on a micro level. However this article deals with the spiritual affect.

Each one of us should look at it and ask themselves, what is it serving me as a mirror for? In other words, do some soul searching. All that is taking place in our reality, outside of us, is a reflection of our inner being. You may want to ask yourself: “where am I leaking from (energy) in my life, that I think I have no way of stopping the leak?” or you might want to ask yourself :”Am I in my full integrity in my life in all areas?”or ” Where can I bring excellence to the table, and I am not?”

On a bigger scale one can ask  him/herself: “What kind of Stewart I am for this planet?” “How can I improve this planet? ” . Each one of us makes a part of the whole. We all need to take responsibility for what each of us can do.  We cannot just assume that everything is being taken care of. We need to get involved in what we can.

In my opinion in the grand picture, this big disaster is an opportunity to raise our consciousness. As a metaphysician/spiritual being I hope for humanity that we will take this opportunity and not let it be wasted, in all and any level.

God Bless you all Have a very happy 4th of July. We have much to be thankful for and to celebrate.

The power and science of forgiveness

The power and science of forgiveness

We have all probably heard that forgiving someone will eventually free us up, and that holding a grudge keeps us entrapped. Well there is a direct correlation between how much we forgive and the quality of our life, what and who we attract into lives, and the type of results we produce. See, when we don’t forgive, we are essentially holding on to an adamant need to be right that someone is wrong. In this position, we will actually do anything to keep proving the person/people/institute/organization/government, etc is/are wrong. By doing this we will prevent the source that we are not forgiving from ever proving us wrong, meaning from ever being right in it’s actions, and we block ourselves from ever receiving any goodness that may come from that source, as well as from who/what else resembles that source in our lives. Ok, I now this is a mouth full… keep reading I will break it down for you:
Non-forgiving means that we are holding onto an energy that we don’t like/approve, yet we keep getting more of it, since we are holding on to being right that the energy is wrong. So we are resisting it, and what we resist persists… we have the choice to let go and move on in our life with a cleaner inner –self, at any time of the day. Yet many of us find it challenging to forgive and let go, why? To explain this we must understand a bit about our subconscious mind:
Our Subconscious mind:
• is a network throughout our entire body
• contains memories of thousands of years (hence the term “genetics”)
• contains all of our behavioral traits: habits, thought patterns, and childhood conditioning
• is designed to preserve the organism- keep us alive, avoid pain and seek pleasure.
• is like our “hard-drive”- it contains all the information that is needed to keep us alive.
• It is the storage bin of all of our past experiences, good and bad, our past stored feelings- good and bad, and our past decisions we made upon experiencing an event that we liked or disliked.
Example how a limiting belief/decision is formed: we are 5 years old, and we come back home excited to tell our mother something great that happened while we were out playing. At that moment we had caught her in a bad mood and she snaps at us and says in an annoyed tone: “why are you bothering me now, can’t you see I am busy?!…”
At that moment, an innocent child, with only good intentions, and in need of mother’s (parent’s) approval and love, feels like their mother doesn’t care about them, and since she is not approving of them at that moment, it is filed in their SC mind, as not getting their parent’s love. The child’s subconscious immediately creates a belief around one or few of: “I am not important”, “my mother doesn’t care about me”, “what I do is not important to my mother”, “when I am excited I don’t get love and approval, therefore I should not be excited, be more composed, and be a “good child”, then I will get (her) love.” This decision/s is/are filed in the child’s mind as a necessary “known” to keep them alive- a “program” of how to behave in order to get our basic need: Love.
Our SC mind is designed to preserve us, to avoid pain and seek pleasure. The “pleasure” in the case above is the numbing of true, organic excitement, for the sake of not getting hurt again AND for staying ‘alive’, hence our SC has fulfilled it’s purpose. These decisions have an impact on the child’s sense of freedom, self-expression, level of confidence, self-worth, and happiness. If this incident repeats itself in a similar fashion, then it will reinforce the child’s decision/s he/she has made about their selves, and… (and pay attention here)- about the world… yes! The child will reflect the incident that happened to them (over and over) with their mother (or father), onto other people/relationships/work colleagues/institutions/society, etc, in which their interaction- with resembles what had happened to them when they were very young. So if the child, now grown up, feels suppressed by anyone/source, feels not loved/cared about, and/or any lack of freedom and full self-expression, immediately they revert back to their “true” decision they made when they were kids, and justify it, and be right that again they “cannot” express themselves/live freely without being shut down. So the adult, ignorant to the fact that they are still holding onto an old grudge (that turned into a limiting decision about life, and people), is creating negative results in their life, just for the sake of being right that their mother/father were wrong…
This is one of many examples of how we limit ourselves, and create unwanted results in our life (in all areas, since how we show up in one area of our life, we show up in all areas). This chain of repetitive negativity can be broken once we forgive. We can truly forgive when we are conscious to the impact non-forgiving (holding-on) has on our life’s. This happens when we allow ourselves to ‘BE’ with the pain of our own limited thinking, and ‘see’ it running our lives, health, relationships, and wealth. Awareness is key, it’s like turning on the light in a dark hallway so we can see were we are heading. We can’t be surprised why every time we attempt to do carpentry in the dark, we cut a piece of skin off (or a finger…). When we don’t forgive, we hurt ourselves in order to “get-back” at others from the past that hurt us. So we “revenge” “them” by hurting ourselves, and by ruining our own lives. This can be demonstrated with a battered woman, that keeps going into abusive relationships, because maybe her father or mother were abusive to her when she was a child, and she has not forgiven them, so in order to ‘be right that they were wrong’ for what they did to her, she keeps finding men that will hurt her, so then she can say (in her mind): “see it’s your (mother’s/father’s) fault that I got hit, since ‘you’ made me used to being abused…” or something in this fashion. Well if this woman stays unaware of what she is doing to herself, she will probably end up sick, beaten up, in jail, or dead …but wait! …she can go to a ‘battered –women’s group’ or battered women’s “shelter”, and get the “support” of other battered women, and complain in front of them how much she is suffering and how the world is unjust, and how her life is not working, etc- keeping her old conversation about her parents, alive. Good luck…this is only promoting more victims, not forgiveness and powerful women.
Another thing about not-forgiving is: we “get” to complain how hard and unfair our life is, and how we cannot make it, and how we cannot have what we want, and how the world is cruel, and how the government sucks, and how our neighbor is harassing us, and how our doctor cannot find a solution to our health problems, and how the economy is bad, and and and and and… bla bla bla … poor me…
Can you or someone you know, relate to this? Can you see something in your life that you are CHOOSING to hold onto and not forgive? How is it impacting your life? What does it provide you? What is the payoff for holding onto it? What will your life be like if you kept holding onto that old negativity? And finally: what is the worst thing that can happen if you forgive and let go? Watch out…your life may start working…you may feel better, have better health, better relationships, more money, happiness….hmmm…sounds too good to be true? Well, try it our at least for one day. Say to yourself, “ (I am the creator of my life) and just for today, I will be conscious and aware of my thoughts, feelings, and behavior and the results I produce in my life, and just for today I will choose to let go of that which does not benefit me, and embrace the good, the positive, true self expression, freedom, and LOVE.
There are many ways to “cleanse” ourselves from old angers, fears, anxieties, guilt, and other forms of non-forgiveness (which all breakdown to fear of letting go, and a lack of love).

Discussion about Creating Our Reality

Discussion about Creating Our Reality

We are on a verge of a new paradigm, maybe even at the beginning of it. This new paradigm is about understanding that each of us is responsible for his own reality, and in turn the reality of the entire universe. There is enough scientific evidence that proves that energy is what our world is made of, and that we can influence this energy to arrive at what we want. Each person needs to step up to the plate and look at what they are creating, personally and globally.

Intention, imagination, insight, intuition, inspiration, meaning, purpose, creativity and understanding they all have nothing to do with the brain. They orchestrate their activity through the brain, but they are qualities of the non-local domain, which is beyond space and time. However once they enter our mind we have to do something with them, what we do with them partly determines who each of us defines ourselves to be. We create stories around our thoughts and then we create meaning out of them. Then we proceed to live out these stories in the physical world.

Once more people realize that their beliefs control their reality, it will affect the mass consciousness. We are holographic beings. We have holographic bodies, living in a holographic consciousness of a holographic universe. In “being” we encompass whole of creation, mirroring everything from micro to macro. Each of us reflects the others’ different pieces of the whole. A change in any one level of the hologram is reflected throughout the whole hologram. The scientific studies show that the more people embrace a new belief, the faster and easier it is to make that belief a reality. It takes the square root of one percent of the population to begin a change

In modern physics, we look at the universe as a dynamic whole whose parts are interdependent and have to be understood as a pattern of a cosmic process. To define an object in this web of interconnectedness, we observe the system and thus we isolate certain patterns and interpret them as objects. The interpretation depends on the observation. Accordingly, an electron may appear as a particle or as a wave. Nature does not appear as a structure of blocks in the atomic level, but as a network of relations. There is an awareness of the unity and interconnectedness in all things and events.

“ All things are seen as interdependent, inseparable, and transient patterns of the same ultimate reality” As author Fritjof Capra agrees in The Tao Of Physics: An Exploration of the Parallels between Modern Physics and Eastern Mysticism (1999:330). This indicates the shift to think in terms of process and not in terms of a structure.

Since the scientific evidence shows that a cell’s life is not controlled by its’ genes, but by his physical and energetic environment, this puts us in a different light. It makes us the powerful creators of our lives and the world we live in, not fragile bio-chemical machines that are affected by our heredity factors.  Bruce Lipton Ph.D. in his book: The Biology Of Belief: Unleashing The Power Of Consciousness, Matter, & Miracles validates this by saying: “It is the cell’s “awareness” of the environment not its genes, that sets into motion the mechanisms of life”

Newtonian physics cannot explain the mechanics of chemical signals, hormones that control the immune system, growth factors and tumor suppressors. It cannot explain spontaneous healing, psychic phenomena, amazing feats of endurance and strength, for example: A mother lifting a car to save a young boy. Newtonian physics cannot explain the ability to walk across coals without getting burned, nor can it explain acupuncture’s ability to diminish pain by moving “chi” around the body. All of these healing modalities are based on the belief that energy fields influence our physiology and our health.

Quantum physics lets us see that atoms are made out of invisible energy, not tangible matter. Matter is simultaneously solid (particle) and an immaterial force field (wave). Thus energy and matter are one and the same. Although many studies were done in the last fifty years that show that “invisible forces” of the electromagnetic spectrum impact every aspect of biological regulation, scientists are confused because they do not recognize the complexity of inter-communication among the physical parts and the energy field that makes up the whole.

Energies like: microwaves, acoustic frequencies and a new recognized force scalar energy, specific electromagnetic frequencies and patterns regulate DNA, RNA and protein synthesis, control gene regulation, cell division and nerve growth and function, also hormone secretion. All of the above are fundamental to the unfolding of life.

A Holographic Universe

A Holographic Universe

When we think of the Geneva experiments where a photon was split up and it had to choose between two pathways, the second photon always chose the exact same thing as the choice as the first photon, as if it knew what the other photon was doing.  There was no means for a signal to travel between the photons. The reason that the signal did not need to travel between the photons is that they were already there; there is no travel necessary between any locations. In a hologram every place is a reflection of every other. Russel Targ, cofounder of the Cognitive-Science program at Stanford, in California in a special featured commentary Paramount studios, DVD release (2005) described it as: ”We live in a non-local world where things physically separated from one another can, nonetheless, be in instantaneous communication” In a non-local hologram of our universe, the energy that links all this things connects them instantly, and each point within the hologram reflects the others. Thus, when we change something in one part of the hologram all parts change. A small alteration in one place can permanently shift an entire paradigm.

Within the container of this web each individual’s mind is part of a larger awareness. Every mind contains the pattern of the whole consciousness, and through that link we each have access to the entire pattern. In other words a change in one can influence the whole.  This was proven in an experiment done in 1972, in 24 cities across the U.S. of over 10,000 in population. the cities experienced meaningful changes, as  the people involved in the study-the square root of 1% of the population, used a technique  TM meditation called “Maharishi Effect”. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi stated that when one percent of the population would practice the particular method that he offered, there would be a reduction in violence and crime for that population. Excerpted from Gregg Braden The Divine Matrix: Bridging Time, Space, Miracles, And belief (2007:115) this study along with others show that when a small percentage  (the square root of 1%) of the population achieved peace within, that peace was reflected in the world around them.

The Role of Neuroscience in Affecting Our Reality

The Role of Neuroscience in Affecting Our Reality

In quantum physics, the observer is a direct player in the nature of reality. Therefore, our thoughts and observations play a part in causing the subatomic particles that make up matter. The subatomic world responds to our mind, which is the human brain in action. Observation occurs when we use our frontal lobe to put our conscious attention and awareness on any one thing. By becoming a skillful observer, we can have greater control over the type of future we wish to have.

The brain consists of 100 billion nerve cells called neurons. Neurons link together a diverse combination to make up neural networks. Neuroscientists demonstrated that when we allow ourselves to think new thoughts and focus our attention in a new way, when we repeat these new thought, the new neural networks become “hard wired”. Researchers have observed changes in the brain corresponding to the neural formations created from new thoughts and experiences. Hence, learning new knowledge and having new experience, create new neural networks that allow us to modify our behavior, so that we can take more effective actions in future experiences. There is a great intelligence that runs our bodies. The heart pumps about three million times in our life, without us having to think of it. Ten million cells die every day in our bodies, and new ones are produced instead. Every cell has 100,000 chemical reactions every second. We have 100 trillion cells in our bodies. The body has a will independently from our will. Its will, will transcend our will, its mind will transcend our mind. It gives us life constantly. It keeps an order in our body. There are 3.2 billion nucleic acids in our DNA. If we can tap into this intelligence it will heal the body.

When we look at nature everything correlates and connects with everything else. Nature is like a symphony that is being orchestrated by a force or an order, we may choose to call it God or whatever it is that each of us chooses to believe. The human body is also an orchestrated symphony. A single cell in our body does about six trillion things per second, and it has to know what other cells are doing at the same time.

Our frontal lobe allows us to make thought more real than anything else. We are than interacting with the greater intelligence that creates and sustains us. At this juncture we are more mind than body.  Our brain and body respond more to our thoughts than to our external environment. We are no longer influenced by external stimuli, producing the same predictable thoughts. Instead of being the effect of our environment we are the cause in creating a new reality. By not relying on old familiar patterns of wired connections, basing our thought on what is already in our memory, we are gathering new information, using that knowledge to form new neural circuits, where it is possible to perceive (observe) reality in a different way. Thus change the reality that we experience. And according to quantum physics, we should produce tangible changes in our reality.

Dr. Joe Dispenza in his film: Your Immortal Brain, Mastering The Art Of Observation (2005), talks about mastering the skill of observation, so that we may choose a potential future in the quantum field and use the brain’s neural plasticity to begin to have a greater control of mind over matter. He further states that our thoughts make chemicals in our bodies. Happy thoughts make good chemicals insecure, fearful, bad thoughts make bad chemicals. The chemicals make us feel in our body, exactly the way it’s thinking. When the brain checks in with the body it sees that the body is feeling that way and so it produces more of these chemicals. Then we are in a loop of thinking and feeling, where our body is thinking for us. That’s when we need to change the way we think, in order to interrupt the loop.  For people that need to heal and or change their reality, they need to start by interrupting this loop. An experiment conducted at the University of Wisconsin, took two groups of people. One group was of monks that had many hours of meditations, and the other group was a few volunteers that were taught how to focus. They hooked the EEG’s (a machine that measures electromagnetic activity) up and found that the monks frontal lobe was much more active then the other group. The skill of observation uses the frontal lobe.

Does the Conscious Mind/Belief Controls Biology?

Does the Conscious Mind/Belief Controls Biology?

Thoughts, the mind’s energy, directly influence how the physical brain controls the body’s physiology. Thought “energy” can activate or inhibit the cell’s function- producing proteins via the mechanics of constructive or destructive influence. In 1952 a young British doctor, Dr. Albert Mason, healed a boy’s hand of what he thought were warts, by hypnosis. Suggesting the power of the mind over the body. However he was not able to duplicate his success because he found out after he cured this 15 years old boy, that the boy did not have warts he had lethal genetic disease called congenital ichthyosis. Here again we see the power of the doctor’s mind (as oppose to the boy healing, that was the boy’s mind over the body). Doctor Mason failed to heal the other patients because of his belief that since the boy had the disease, it wasn’t the warts that he can cure.

Our brains control the whole community of cells in our bodies. It does so by chemical communication signals that are converted into sensations that are experienced by our cells. Our conscious mind experiences these signals as emotions, which are manifested through the release of signals by the nervous system.

In Molecules Of Emotions, Cadance Pert revealed how her study of information-processing receptors on nerve cell membranes led her to discover the same “neutral” receptors were present on most of the body’s cells. She discovered that the ”mind” was not focused in the head, but was distributed via signal molecules to the whole body. Her work emphasized that emotions were not only derived through a feedback of the body’s environmental information. Through self-consciousness, the mind can use the brain to generate “molecules of emotions” and override the system, Therefore proper use of consciousness can bring health to an ailing body, and inappropriate, unconscious control of emotions can easily make a healthy body diseased.

Our ability to be self reflective, gives us in the self-conscious mind much power. It can observe any programmed behavior and consciously change the program. We can actively choose how to respond to most environmental signals and weather we even want to respond.  As renowned Biologist and author Bruce Lipton concludes in his book The Biology Of Belief: Unleashing The Power Of Consciousness, Mater & Miracles (2005):”The conscious mind’s capacity to override the subconscious mind’s preprogrammed behavior is the foundation of free will.”

Our responses to environmental stimuli are controlled by our perceptions, but not all learned perceptions are accurate. Perceptions do “control” biology, but not all perceptions are true. Hence, we would be more accurate to refer to these controlled perceptions as beliefs. According to Bruce Lipton in The Biology Of Belief: Unleashing The Power Of Consciousness, Matter & Miracles (2005): “Beliefs control biology!” In one of Bruce Lipton’s experiments with cells, he proved that the mind overrides the body. The adrenaline released by the central nervous system (the mind) overrode the influence of histamine signals that were produced by the body.

The placebo effect proves the above, when one believes falsely that he is getting medicine, he starts to feel better. A study in 1977 of the efficacy of Effexor stunned Janis Schonfeld that was given a placebo, and her 30-year depression lifted. She even experienced nausea, the effect of the Effexor drug.  When she was told that she got the placebo she thought the researchers made a mistake in their records, that she indeed got the drug and not the placebo. That is how well she felt from the placebo. The nocebo effect has the same effect in a negative way. Nocebo cases suggest that physicians, parents and teachers can remove hope by programming us to believe we are powerless.

Our beliefs: positive and negative not only impacts our health, but also our life. Bruce Lipton says that our beliefs act like “filters on a camera”, changing how we see the world. And our biology adapts to these beliefs. When we recognize that our beliefs are that powerful, we hold the key to freedom. While we cannot change our genetic blueprints, we can change our minds/beliefs.

Energy

Energy

Renowned spiritual leader and author Deepak Chopra talks about energy and information in our material world in his book The Spontaneous Fulfillment Of Desire: Harnessing The Power Of Coincidence (2003): ” Everything in the visible universe is a manifestation of the energy and information of the quantum domain. The material world is a subset of the quantum world.”

In Einstein’s theory of relativity, E = mc , energy equals mass times the speed of light squared. Meaning matter (mass) and energy is the same thing, only in different forms. Matter can simultaneously be defined as solid (particle) and as an immaterial force field (wave). In science we are taught that every solid object i.e. a chair is made up of molecules, the molecules are made up of atoms. Atoms are made up of subatomic particles, which have no solidity at all. They are packets or waves of information and energy. How can invisible waves of energy and information be experienced as a solid object? Events in the quantum domain occur at the speed of light, at which our senses cannot process all that contributes to our perceptual experience. We process things being different from one another because energy waves contain different kinds of information. These are determined by the frequency or vibration of the energy waves. It is the same as being tuned in to different frequency on the radio. 101.5 is classical while 107.1 is rock. Energy is coded for different information depending on how it vibrates.

There is a huge web of energy, or energy soup. What we perceive is chunks of this energy soup, whatever vibrates slower, i.e. “The chair” “The body” and all the other physical objects. The difference between human and tree is the information and the energy content of each perspective body. On the material level, the tree and human are made up of the same recycled elements: Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen and other minute amounts of energies. Trees and humans exchange Carbon and Oxygen with each other. The real difference is in energy and information.

Our energy comes into contact with the energy around us. Sometimes we feel it when we walk into a room where the tension is thick, or a temple, where one feels overwhelming peace. That is the collective energy of the environment, mingling with our own energy that is registering on some level.

Physicists say that we experience solidity because everything is made up of atoms and, the solidity is the sense of atoms bumping against atoms. Our eyes are programmed to see objects in three dimensions and as a solid. Our nerve endings are programmed to feel objects as a three dimensional solid. In the quantum world, or domain as Deepak Chopra calls it, there is no solidity. If you will consider when two clouds meet, there is no solidity, they meld and separate. When we touch another object, the energy fields (electron clouds) meet, small portions meld together, and then we separate from the object. With every encounter, we exchange information and energy. We are all constantly sharing portions of our energy fields. So all of us are all connected, we are correlated.

Living organisms must receive and interpret environmental signals in order to stay alive. Survival is directly related to speed and efficiency of signal transfer. The speed of electromagnetic signal verses speed of diffusible chemical is 186,000 miles/second, verses 1 centimeter/second. The science of physics implies that the same harmonic resonance mechanism, by which sound waves destroy kidney stones or goblets, can enable similar energy of harmonics to influence our body’s chemistry.

All organisms including us humans communicate and read their environment by evaluating energy fields. Due to the fact that we are so dependent on language communication, we have neglected our energy sensing communication systems. As with any biological function a lack of use, leads to atrophy. The aborigines still use this hyper-sensory capacity in their daily life. For example Australian aborigines sense water deep underground, and Amazonian shamans communicate with the energies of their medicinal plants. We do get the occasional glimmer of our ancient mechanism. For example when we meet someone special, we become so energized. We experience constructive influence or good vibes.
Connect with your energy sensing mechanism by being aware of it and putting your attention to it, and you will notice how good you can be at it by paractiing it, and how beneficial it can be in your life.
